Aconcagua is the senior member of our herdsire row. He is named for "Cerro Aconcagua" -- the highest mountain in the Americas. Aconcagua is the son of the reknowned and recently deceased PPeruvian Felix (from Accoyo Plantel line) and grandson of both Hemingway and Federal Express -- truly incredible genetics! Also impressive is the production record of Aconcagua's dam, Katrina, a true Hembra whose other offspring have been important producers in well-respected breeding programs all over the country. A Katrina granddaughter sold at a recent Pacific Crest auction for $57,000.
The results of his powerful bloodlines are evident in his offspring. Aconcagua is proven to improve greatly on the dam, with amazing consistency and in a rainbow of colors. Agua has produced white when bred to color. His cria have excellent conformation, fineness, density, handle, and overall fleece character, as well as strong presence and excellent dispositions.
Aconcagua's previous owners limited him to internal breedings, so we are thrilled to now offer him for outside breedings. He still settles efficiently and has years of breeding ahead of him.
